As your dental provider, our primary responsibility is to deliver the highest quality of care to support your oral health. As a patient, it is your responsibility to pay the fees for your dental procedures, regardless of your insurance coverage. If you have dental insurance, your plan can be a valuable tool in helping offset the cost of care.
We want you to feel confident knowing that we never limit or design treatment plans based on insurance coverage. Instead, we provide you with all the information about your oral health and the full range of treatment options available. You are then able to decide which path is best for you, and we will support your choice with transparency and respect.
Please note that Beachstone Dental is a non-assignment of benefits office, which means we do not accept payment directly from insurance companies. Assignment of benefits is when a dentist collects only the uninsured portion of your care at the time of your visit and then waits for the insurance company to pay the remainder.
While this system may seem convenient, it has become increasingly difficult for dental offices to verify benefits, receive timely payments, and manage the wide variety of insurance plans under current privacy regulations. For small, privately-owned practices like ours, these challenges can significantly impact the ability to provide seamless care. For this reason, and in line with recommendations from the Ontario Dental Association, we follow a non-assignment policy.
With this approach, you pay for your treatment directly at the time of your visit, and your insurance company reimburses you. Most patients find that reimbursement is processed quickly, often within just a few days, and our team is happy to submit your claim electronically on your behalf to make the process simple.
If you have dental benefits, our office will gladly assist you with filing claims so you can receive reimbursement directly from your insurance provider. After full payment is made at your appointment, we will electronically submit your claim through CDAnet to your insurance carrier as a courtesy. Once your claim is processed, your insurer will reimburse you directly. Most claims are processed quickly, and many patients receive their reimbursement within just a few days. If you have direct deposit set up with your insurance provider, the funds are deposited even faster, directly into your account.
To help us submit your claim on your behalf, please bring all of your medical and dental benefit information, including insurance cards, to your visit.
